Panda cub sees first snow

Panda cub sees first snow

Panda cub sees first snow, There was snow at the San Diego Zoo panda exhibit on Thursday. A flurry of white powder was blown in while the bears were off exhibit. The two-year-old Yun Zi explored his exhibit with the snow and a special holiday tree created by the Zoo's horticulture staff.

The tree was constructed from two types of bamboo - oldhamii and vivax - and made to resemble a pine tree with ornaments made of fruit and vegetable peels to hang from the tree.

Also available online is the San Diego Zoo's Panda Cam. Allowing online visitors to watch the black-and-white beauties more clearly. www.sandiegozoo.org/pandacam

I enjoyed previewing the San Diego Zoo's Jungle Bell celebration. Watching whimsical lighted decor, holiday activities & food, Jumpin' Jammin' Elves and Angels with Strings.

Check out Yun Zi enjoying the snow in video 1 and the Angels with Strings in video 2.
