Sarah Palin & Donald Trump Meet in NYC. Sarah Palin and Donald Trump exchanged words of admiration Tuesday after a brief meeting at the real estate magnate's penthouse in a Manhattan skyscraper bearing his name.
Palin, the former Republican vice presidential nominee, said she and Trump shared similar ideas for improving the U.S. economy, while Trump called Palin a "terrific woman and a terrific friend" whom he hoped would seek the Republican presidential nomination.

Their 15-minute meeting, part political parley and part reality TV show, capped the third day of Palin's bus trip through historic sites along the East Coast. Palin has said she is considering joining the field of Republican candidates vying to challenge President Barack Obama next year.

Earlier, Palin, her husband, Todd, and several family members toured sites in Pennsylvania, including the Gettysburg Civil War battlefield and Philadelphia's Independence Hall.

Trump, the multimillionaire host of the reality show "Celebrity Apprentice" who mused about a presidential bid himself before dropping out of the running earlier this month, made headlines painting the U.S. as a country in decline. He criticized China for unfair trade practices and said the U.S. under Obama had become a "laughing stock" to the rest of the world.

Apple iCloud to be launched at WWCD. We've been waiting and waiting for Apple to make a cloud music announcement, and today we got a big step closer.

As expected, Apple said today it will unveil a service called iCloud on June 6 at its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Granted, Apple itself didn't say anything specifically about music, but we do know that Apple managers have sought to create a music feature for the service. And we'll learn a lot more soon enough.
By the way, none other than Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs, who is currently on an indefinite medical leave, will be on hand to unwrap iCloud at the WWDC. (Read the story on Apple's complete announcement here).

Apple has wrapped up licensing agreements with three of the four top record companies, including EMI Music, Warner Music, and Sony Music. CNET reported that Apple and Universal Music, the largest of the major record companies, could ink a deal possibly soon. This would give Apple recorded-music rights to most of the popular music out there. To offer a fully functional cloud music service though, Apple still needs publishing rights.

Sources with knowledge of the talks said that the publishers and Apple are close to an agreement and nobody involved in the talks anticipates anything will prevent iCloud from offering songs from at least the four major record companies and their publishing units.

The big thing in digital music these days is the cloud--your songs hosted on someone else's servers, accessible to you from a variety of devices rather than locked into a specific gadget.

Though the world usually sees her brood only in photos, Jolie gave some insights on the kids' individual vibes.

"[Maddox is] a real intellectual, which I can take no credit for genetically. He’s great at school, great at history. He feels like he could be a writer or travel the world and learn about places and things. Zahara’s got an extraordinary voice and is just so elegant and well spoken. Shiloh’s hysterically funny, one of the goofiest, most playful people you’ll ever meet. Knox and Viv are classic boy and girl. She’s really female. And he’s really a little dude," she said.

Jolie said Shiloh is most similar to how she was at that age: "Goofy and verbal, the early signs of a performer…. I used to get dressed up in costumes and jump around. But at some point, I got closed off, darker ... then, as I had kids and got older — being goofy, lighter — it all came back."

One fleeting thing for Jolie may be her screen career, which she said she can see ending quite soon.

One witness says the accident ended up with the vehicle Snooki was driving wedged between a police car and a highway protection wall. After the accident, Snooki's castmate Deena Nicole Cortese, who was riding in the passenger seat, allegedly had to exit the car via its window, because of the positioning of the vehicles.
Despite being taken into custody, a production source told TMZ.com that this was not a formal arrest.

I can foresee lots of crazy, made up stories coming out in the near future and I certainly don’t have time to shut down every rumor. But believe that if you hear it from me, it will be true. Otherwise, don’t always believe what you read, dolls.”

Thief caught using Hidden app. A Macbook is a desirable thing, much wanted by thieves across the world. Leave an Apple laptop in a cafe or lose your bag on the train and don't expect it to be there when you get back.
When Joshua Kaufman discovered his laptop missing he began crafting a blog based on pictures of the thief he had captured using the Mac application Hidden. Since then the site has gathered an immense social media following, with more than 16k "likes" on Facebook. People have followed the story of the Macbook thief from the start, which began with a photo of him driving away with the Apple laptop in his car.

The photos then gathered steam, showing the thief deleting his accounts and signing into his own, even pictures of him in bed with the caption: "I really don't want to know what this guy is doing with my MacBook.

Eventually local Oakland police caught on to the blog and tried to get hold of the laptop thief: "(May 31, 7:38 PM PST) Thanks to the power of the Internet, I have the attention of the Oakland Police, who are tracking this guy down RIGHT NOW!" Using Kaufman's evidence, an email which connected the thief with a cab service, the police phoned him and asked him to pick them up. The trick worked, he was arrested by the Oakland police waiting for him.

Given the popularity of the blog and the references to the Hidden app, many believe it to be a media stunt to gather attention for the application. Either way it's an awesome story and possible proof that applications such as Hidden or Apple's find my iPhone can result in the safe return of property.
